Honchos Get Honey

At least, that's how Garvey saw it.

The following is an excerpt from the novel Garvey Feinstein: Hollywood Predator.

-----------------------------

As Garvey started to become more sexually experienced, he realized that he had two types of appetites: One was purely physical—that is, the regular sexual excitement that gets satisfied with physical intimacy or “self-love”—and the other one was the desire for variety, for the chase and the conquest, for making a new woman his, if only for one hour. Most men had these dispositions to various degrees, but in Garvey, they seemed to be amplified.

But to make new women his, Garvey knew that, in this day and age, abducting them from the streets was pretty much off-limits, and that one couldn’t do it more than once. So, he resorted to the next best thing: gaining power and influence, and exerting those to have women kneel down to him and unzip his pants.

“Have women…” Having someone do something lies somewhere between “getting” them to do it and “making” them do it, somewhere between direct force and persuasion. Garvey understood—intuitively, at least—that there was always a degree of coercion when it came to sexual matters. Yet, he didn’t mind or feel guilty about it, because he also knew that the men women tended to be most attracted to also happened to be the men who had high enough status to bend them into sex. The way he saw it, women were attracted to superiors, and superiors are bound to get, have, and make other people do things for them. Hence, the blurred lines.

But Garvey wasn’t interested in semantics and societal analyses of power relations. Subtlety wasn’t his forte. So, regardless of whether these men “got” or “made” women lie down, the fact remained—as he once said it to his childhood friend, Peter—that “honchos get pussy.”

Accordingly, Garvey set to be a honcho. He looked around him and saw who the big shots of the modern day were: people with money, people with connections, people in the higher-ups of any business or organization, politicians, and various other celebrities in any given field.
